Bradley D. Faust
Assistant Dean for Library Information Technology Services
Ball State University
Doctoral Degree granting institution of higher education in Indiana

“The Ball State University Libraries have used VendPrint for almost four years. Our implementation has grown from 5 print release stations in 2003 to 10 in 2006. VendPrint has allowed us to contain print costs by directing library customers to visit a print release station to produce printouts. The University Libraries do not charge students for printing, so containing print costs directly impacts the bottom line. During Spring Semester 2006, 73% of the Ball State University undergraduate student body printed one or more documents in the University Libraries using the VendPrint system. On average, undergraduate students printed 30 documents each during this academic period for a total 440,000 print jobs. VendPrint has provided a workable, reliable print solution for the University Libraries.”

“We have been using VendPrint for about two years at our Urban Campus.VendPrint has saved us time and money. We have open labs where students used to abuse printing, using reams of paper and many ink cartridges. We are now punting VendPrint into our third open lab. It has worked very efficently. No wasting of paper and all our students are very cooperative. They do not seem to mind paying the 10 cents a copy.”

Daria Bossman, Library Director
Morningside College

“Morningside College Library has enjoyed our two year professional relationship with VendPrint, Inc.. Their system engineers and technical support folks are the best---friendly, open, responsive to inquiries and concerns. They are good listeners! We always get our questions answered and a prompt response. Their software is very user-friendly. We have had no complaints from students---only compliments about how easy it is to use. My staff and I wholeheartedly recommend VendPrint, Inc. for your library or business needs.”

Michael Miller

“We began using VendPrint in our main output center about 2 years ago. Not only have we found it very easy to use and configure, we have found that it has significantly reduced the amount of waste prints that we used to see (prints that were not even picked up). Our students appreciate the stable environment this system provides. We have had very few complaints about printers being backed up or down since they can pick the target printers while in the print center and can instantly determine their status. The VendPrint people have been very easy to work with and have addressed concerns in a timely and courteous manner. In all, we are very pleased with the results that VendPrint gives us!”

Carol Jarom
Information Resource Consultant III
University of Delaware

www.udel.edu

“After years of providing no-cost printing in our IT supported computing sites at the University of Delaware, spiraling printing costs made us decide we needed to reevaluate the situation. We started implementing VendPrint Print Management software in the fall of 2002. The VendPrint staff worked with us to customize their product to our environment to work seamlessly with our existing debit card system. We are able to offer a set amount of free printing to each student and when they use up their free stipend, Vendprint starts debiting their FLEX card account that is supported by Blackboard on our campus. We have cut our cost of printing consumables to 20% of what it was before we implemented the program. The VendPrint technical staff is always willing to work with us on new features or questions as they arise. We have been very pleased with our results.”

Lelia Salinas
South Texas College
Coordinator
Instructional Resources Open Labs
Division: Information and Planning Services

“We are extremely pleased with the VendPrint software performance here at South Texas College. We use the software at the library, Student Success Centers and Open Labs throughout the district. It helps us to keep printing costs within budget and its functionality is outstanding. Previously, we used a different software vendor to manage the print jobs, but we experienced frustration as we would lose print jobs constantly. We have not experienced this problem with VendPrint.”
